Sections of the MDM
From any page of the MDM, you can:
- Use the left side navigation panel to access the main platform sections.
Available sections are: Dashboard; Devices; Fleets; Profiles; Applications; Action Tokens; API; API Access; Maps; Members.
Some of the sections may be hidden for a user (based on member role and/or the organization bundle).
When the mouse hovers the menu panel, an expand/collapse icon is displayed at the top. The folded layout shows the menu icons only.

The dashboard gives you a snapshot overview of your organization.
The number of devices / fleets / profiles / applications within your organization.
When your organization’s bundle has a limit, the maximum value is displayed on a second greyed line (e.g. “18 Fleets, Max.: 20”), otherwise the dashboard displays “Unlimited”.
Maintenance and stock information
Number of devices which are not associated to a fleet but are part of the organization ready to be assigned to a fleet.
In the field
Number of devices which are associated to a fleet
Number of devices which are in repair. The repair mode is reserved for faulty devices. The device configuration is reset to remove all applications.
A device’s Synchronization status indicates if the current MDM settings have been fully applied to it. A device’s Heartbeat status indicates wherever or not it has been able to communicate with MDM at the last expected sync attempt(s).
The Synchronization status has no correlation with Heartbeat status. Device tries to synchronize with the MDM at specific intervals (defined in the profile settings). Sometimes this process fails because some of the synchronization tasks are not completed — this affects the synchronization status — and sometimes this process also fails due to a temporary lack of connection between the device and MDM or some other reasons (device turned off, for example) — this affects the heartbeat status.
The dashboard displays Synchronization and Heartbeat status counts (see below).
Number of devices which are synchronized to the MDM (last sync finished with no remaining pending actions).
- Not Synchronized
Number of devices which have not synchronized (a sync attempt ended with pending actions or no sync was attempted) since a change in the profile settings has been made
- Never Synchronized
Number of devices which have never been synchronized with the MDM
- Last rendezvous OK (green)
Indicates the number of devices that have reported at their last rendezvous with the MDM (since a duration equals to the MDM sync interval).
- 3 missed rendezvous (orange)
Indicates the number of devices that have missed the last 3 expected rendezvous with the MDM (since a duration equal to 3 times the MDM sync interval).
- 5 missed rendezvous (red)
Indicates the number of devices that have missed the last 5 expected rendezvous with the MDM (since a duration equal to 5 times the MDM sync interval).
