FX9xx Scan Engine

Compatible hardware

The FX910, FX920 and FX925 have a built-in scan-engine to scan 1D and 2D barcodes. The barcode reader can be use through an SDK to have fine-grained control on the reader.

Scan engine test app

Location

The purpose of this app is to demonstrate the use of the scan engine on our validators.

Multiple modes are available:

Manual - NORMAL

This mode allows to scan only when triggering the scanner.

Manual - CELLPHONE

Same as Manual - Normal but increases performance when reading barcodes from a cellphone

Presentation - NORMAL

This mode allows to scan everytime a barcode is presented, no additional action is required.

Presentation - CELLPHONE

Same as Presentation - NORMAL but increases performance when reading barcodes from a cellphone

Presentation - CONTINUE SCAN

Same as Presentation - NORMAL but will continually scan a presented barcode, as long as it stays in front of the scanner.
