FP200 1.4.0
December 15, 2023
Improvements
- “Enforce OEM locked state” security feature: OEM or “Original Equipment Manufacturer” or simply OEM locking is an added security feature which Android device manufacturers use to protect unauthorized access to the device's Bootloader. This ultimately helps safeguard the Android Operating System running on a device from being interfered in any way
- Improve camera focus speed
- USB device filtering: Adding a system property to limit the USB devices that can be connected to the Famoco device, or to forbid a specific USB device to be enumerated on the Famoco device. This feature introduces two blacklists (and maybe some white list in the future) containing the USB port to blacklist and a vendor ID product ID couple to block. This feature is manageable as of MDM release 2.22 but not open to end customers because of its setup complexity. Please contact the support if you need this feature
- Wifi MAC randomization: by default, Android 10 randomizes MAC address to preserve end-user privacy. In corporate environment, some customers require fixed MAC address for security reasons
- Intent Firewall customization: FP200 uses an Android feature called intent firewall which allows for the enforcement of intents based on rules defined in XML files; see Android Intent Firewall - Carter Yagemann. Because of the risks associated to allowing customers to modify it, famoco provides a default set of rules and can issue new ones for specific requests; please contact support if you believe you need it
- Settings app disabling: Improve security of the native Android Settings application
- Update Famoco Layer to v3.13.1: See Famoco Layer 3.13.1 release note

Improvements
- PicoTTS: Pico TTS integration
- Default USB: when a device is plugged through USB, it is possible to pick a behavior for the Settings under developer options (Charging, MTP, PTP, Ethernet, Audio source, MIDI). The feature consists in being able to force the default value for that choice from the MDM
- Led customization: the green charging LED should be configurable depending on the percent of the battery voltage. Indeed there is a famoco feature to limit the battery regulation charge voltage to lengthen battery lifetime. Without this feature, the led color is red while it should be green
