Third-party devices compatibility

Since Famoco does not control the Operating System included on third-party devices, not all features that Famoco provides are accessible through them. The following page gives an outline of the compatibility differences between a Famoco device and a Third-party device.

Non-compatible settings

The following Profile settings will not function (or will be limited) on third-party devices:

• Setting Mobile Data, Roaming, and NFC status (controllable from the device itself, but not through the MDM)
• On the Mobigo 2+, it is not possible to set an APN through the MDM
• Random MAC setting for Wifi Configurations
• Changing the Boot Animation of the device
• Settings NTP Servers

Non-compatible features

The following MDM features will not function on third-party devices:

• Insights and any Alert which depends on Insights
• Push Notifications
• Lifecycle actions (except reboot at next sync and locking devices, which will work at next sync)
• Remote Control
• Software Updates (for OS updates, as Famoco does not manage it, but will work for Famoco Layer upgrades)

Further device non-compatibilities

Devices not validated yet by Famoco might have further compatibility issues not known yet.

These limitations will be communicated to you once Famoco's Teams have passed your device through the validation process.
